Dear Friends,
I am sitting in our new office space in north Oakland amazed at the outpouring of support for Women's Choice Clinic since losing our lease. We have relocated our administrative offices to continue our mission of health education and pregnancy prevention. Thru the incredible support of our community we have relocated all our medical supplies, archival materials and office equipment to various storage units, warehouses, and garage spaces. Thanks to your generous support we are now able to provide medical record management, as required for a 7 year minimum. With your continued help, also maintaining our respected position in the community as Feminist Health Educators.
The most often asked question is - Will we reopen? Maybe, with support of our community we will be able to reestablish our beloved medical facility. At this moment we must regroup and restructure to continue to respond to the needs of our former patients as well as the overwhelmed local medical establishment. Our inability to weather the economic crisis in America is a wake-up call to all activists to reach out to your favorite charity and make sure they will be there in the future.
Oakland is in the midst of a direct assault against reproductive freedom with a legal challenge against the 8-foot "Bubble ordinance". Anti-choice fanatics have been effectively prosecuted against offensive behavior at a local clinic and we must seek to strengthen this ordinance, not overturn it. Please contact City Council member Nancy Nadel and write letters to the editors on the importance of women's access to medical care without interference by dogmatic harassment in the name of Christian protectionism.
I hope you will continue to support our legacy of quality reproductive healthcare and continue to support our tax deductible non-profit 501c3 organization. We have dedicated ourselves to the empowerment of women through health education since 1972. We have a few specific needs at this juncture that maybe you can help with:

- postage
- donatons for operating expenses
